Welcome to "The Greening Sage."
So glad you stopped by!
My name is Jessica and I live in Atlanta, GA. This blog is the culmination of a year's worth of driving my husband (and friends) crazy with all my environmental concerns and product research. While I grew up in a fairly healthy household, I only recently began questioning what was in my shampoo, deodorant, kitchen cleaners... even children's sippy cups. What I found concerned me, but it also motivated me to become a better educated consumer.
Speaking of consuming... have you ever stopped to think that consumption may be at the root of most of our environmental and health challenges? I am not here to tell you to stop consuming. My goal is to help you become more savvy, conscious, and well-educated consumers. If we all start to demand that companies produce safer and healthier products for our families, they will listen because their bottom line depends on US. We owe it to ourselves, our children and generations to come. How good we are to ourselves (and others) has a direct impact on how good we are to the earth and vice versa.
So, you may ask, who is the "The Greening Sage?" Well, today it is me, but I hope I can inspire you all to become greening sages in your own lives. I understand that being green is a process (thus "greening") and I will do my best to offer wise, practical advice, based on research and personal experience. Have fun, there is something here for the whole family! Oh and feel free to leave a comment, ask a question or send me suggestions for a post. I would love to hear what you think!
